Mom's Sugar Cookies
Written by John Longwell

Ingredients:

        * 1½ C Crisco
        * 2 C Sugar
        * 1¼ C Milk
        * 2 Eggs
        * 1 t Baking Soda
        * 2 t Baking Powder
        * 1 t salt
        * 3 t vanilla
        * 4 C Flour

Instructions:

        * Mix ingredients well.
        * Spread some Flour on counter.
        * Roll Dough on flour until all air bubbles are eliminated and your desired thickness has been achieved. Add more flour if dough is too wet. Cut with cookie cutters.
        * Bake @ 350° F until golden brown.

Notes

This makes a crapload of cookies.  And they're good in that, hey, it's 1900 and this tastes better than dirt kind of way.  But sometimes that's the perfect cookie.  For an icing to these try some confectionary sugar mixed with water and poured over the top to dry.  Food colorings can be added for holiday fun.
