Ray markey wrote with this very very interesting news. This is something that warms the cockles of the family genealogist, and it might be the catalyst to someone else starting the hobby!
Thought you might like to hear, I made a breakthrough on my mother’s side of the family, where I was jammed up on a g-g-g-grandparent set. I encountered a new member on Ancestry.com that had one of that set listed as a sibling of one of their ancestors. Got me back 2 more generations, and if this is to be all believed, tied me into a family tree that takes me back to Alfred the Great, King of the Anglo-Saxons, who lived from 849 to (how do they know this) October 26, 899. There are so many generations I could never even begin to truly verify it… it is amazing. Don’t know if something like that has happened in your search yet, but it will if you’re still active.
