Once again we celebrate the start of a new calendar year.  This is no ordinary year though.  This is the infamous 2012.  If the movies and Mayan calendar are to be believed, this is the last year of the rest of our lives.  12-21-12 is slated as the end of the world. 

There have been many dates that were said to be the end. I don't think 2012 is it and neither does NASA. I've also greatly enjoyed The Pyramid Code, a series of shows about the pyramids and why the Mayan Calendar and the pyramids and those who built them are, as a whole, greatly misunderstood.  I recommend ordering from their link but free videos are online for one to watch.

As for me, I plan on enjoying this new year.  I hope to travel to Arkansas more often to spend time with John while he's finishing up this job.  I will still be thankful to wake every morning and know my family is safe, healthy and they love me.  I will still be thankful to see the sun come up every day and the stars shine at night.  If I were to make any resolutions I would say I'll take more photos, enjoy time with family more, maybe tighten up a little of this flab and relax and accept the blessings around me.  I hope you are all blessed with the most beautiful and happiest year yet!
